The Aucilla Christian Academy junior varsity Warriors faced off against Munroe on Oct. 8 and the JV Warriors walloped their opponent for a 26-6 win, to wrap up the season with a 1-6 record. “The kids played great. It’s about time we played against a team our own size,” said Coach Daryl Adams. Joshua Greene led the offense with 126 yards of rushing, for three touchdowns, and one two-point conversion. Hunter Key rushed for 40 yards. Joe Hannon had 39 yards rushing, and one touchdown. Darren Ellis rushed for six yards. In receiving, Joe Hannon had 26 yards. Quarterback Joe Walton completed one of two pass attempts for no yardage, due to the ball only making it back to the line of scrimmage. John Walker completed one of three pass attempts for 26 yards. Hunter Key had one kickoff return for 65 yards. On the defensive side of the ball, Hunter Key had six tackles and one fumble recovery. Joe Hannon had seven tackles. Joe Walton had three tackles and one assist. Joshua Greene had three tackles and two assists. Darren Ellis had three tackles and one assist. Cameron Burns had two tackles. Jake Pridgeon had one tackle and one quarterback sack. John Walker had one tackle and two assists. Ian Hutsell had one pass interception. “We had a real tough schedule this year,” said Coach Adams. “We progressed every game, and the kids got more knowledgeable. We’re going to try to get a better schedule next year and play more teams our own size.”
