Mrs. Linda Harris Westendick, 71, of West Martintown Road, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest October 13, 2013, was held Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 at Posey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Westendick was a native of Madison, Florida having made North Augusta her home for the past 23 years. She was a communicant of the Catholic Church, a retired Beautician and founder of the Look Good-Feel Good Program at the University Hospital and a member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Westendick was a graduate of Madison High School and attended Beauty School in Durham, North Carolina. She was a former resident of Tallahassee, Florida where she was associated with the Cherokee Beauty Salon and met her future husband, David.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, David L. Westendick; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susanne and John Spell, Tallahassee, Florida and Patricia and Thad Dixon, Savannah, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Kendall Spell, Jonathon Spell, Sarah Spell, Emagail Spell, Vivian Spell, John David Spell and Grace Dixon; a sister, Joy Kelley, Tallahassee, Florida.
Funeral services will be 11:00 Saturday, October 19, 2013 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Madison, FL with burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9;30 – 10-30 prior to the service at Beggs Funeral Home Madison Chapel.
