A group of parents volunteered their time this past Wednesday, Sept. 25, to show their appreciation to the Madison County Central School faculty and staff for all their hard work in getting ready for the new school year. The theme for the event was thanking the school for “a sweet start to 2013” and was emphasized with every kind of sweet you can imagine: cookies, candy, pie, cupcakes, brownies, pudding and coffee. Many parents dropped off baked goods on their way to other responsibilities, but some of the parents were able to remain so they could serve staff and personally thank them when stopping by for some of the goodies. One of the remaining parents, Christi Annett said they really could see the positive changes within the school and Renee Groover continued that statement by saying, “We want to be part of something positive all year.”
