Mr. Thomas Ladell Lamb, age 72, of Mayo, died October 1, 2013 in Gainesville, Florida. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2013, in the Riverside Baptist Church in Mayo with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday, October 3, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Madison County and after high school, he joined the U. S. Army. When his enlistment was up, he moved to Orlando and sold insurance and also sold meats for Sunnyland. He moved to Mayo for a short time then settled in Greenville, where he worked for Sherrod Lumber Company. He had been living in Mayo since 2008 to be closer to his family. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Misty Lee Lamb of Madison; two brothers, Paul Lamb (Dawn) and Bill Lamb (Sharee) both of Mayo; five sisters, Sarah Helen Lyons, Ruth Winbur (Wayne), Stella Buchanan (Buddy) and Linda McCray (Terry), all of Mayo, and Lucille Sapp (Charles) of Quitman Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Martha Lamb of Mims and Sue Lamb of Live Oak; 25 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Albert Lamb, Jr. and Jimmy Lamb. T. J. Beggs, Jr. & Sons, Madison, (850) 973-2258.
