Jacob’s Ladder: Dance With The StarsSep 12th, 2013 | By Admin | Category: Editorials
Trees dance in the evening breeze, their tall, lithe bodies dressed in green gowns. Ginger Rogers, a movie star from long ago, would be jealous of their gracefulness on the dance floor. They seem to wave back and forth as the skies, which dim from blue to black welcome a sea of stars as the dance hall lights. I watch for a few moments before going inside. As the summer wind blows gently, the trees are truly dancing with the stars. I breathe in the fresh air that God has given us, thankful for each breath. I have so much to be thankful for. So many times, I want more but God knows how much I can handle. I would not wish for the whole world in exchange for my soul. (Matthew 16:26) “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5 (KJV) I am thankful for my family and my friends. I am thankful for a home and for food on the table and clothing and shoes to wear. I am thankful most of all for salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. I think I will go outside and, like the trees, dance with the stars.
