Greene Publishing, Inc. This past Monday, on Aug. 19, at around 5:30 p.m., a domestic disturbance between two individuals was reported to the Sheriff’s Office. The office, as a result of the report, obtained a search warrant for 781 NE Cattail Road to investigate the disturbance. The search resulted in discovery of an out building that contained 28 high quality mature marijuana plants and an additional 48 smaller marijuana plants that brought an estimated value of $200,000. Madison County Sheriff, Ben Stewart reports that the out building was sophisticatedly designed to grow the marijuana in its most pure state. The search also discovered the occupants were illegally stealing electricity to power the out building. Arrests have not been made, but charges for cultivation of marijuana and grand theft are under investigation.
