James L. Carver
James L. Carver passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, in Monticello, Florida. Mr. Carver was born on August 18, 1939, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Oather and Eunie Carver. A resident of Madison County since 1973, he worked as a U.S.D.A. Meat Inspector for Dixie Packers until his retirement in 2001. In addition, he owned and operated a feed store in Pinetta, FL, for several years.
James is survived by his wife of 46 years, Emilie Carver, his son Dereck Carver, his daughter and son-in-law Teena and Jerry Buchanan, his daughter Traci Carver, and his grandchildren Callie and Blake Buchanan. He is also survived by three brothers: Charles Carver of Cartersville, Georgia; and Bobby Carver and Troy Carver of Douglas, Georgia.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 20, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home in Madison.
Funeral services will be held at Pinetta Baptist Church at 4pm on Friday, June 21, 2013, with Rev. Murrell Bennett and Rev. Dean Spivey to officiate. Graveside to follow at Mt. Horeb Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pinetta Baptist Church building fund. Checks may be mailed to P.O. Box 117, Pinetta, Fl 32350.
