Andrea is expected to make landfall between 5 and 8 PM along with Taylor/Dixie coastline and continue on a northeasterly track. Sustained winds of 55-60 mph with higher gusts are expected near the coast.
Madison County residents can expect peak winds late this afternoon into early evening with 35-45 mph sustained winds and gusts to 50 mph. Heavy rain (3-4″ ) and scattered power outages can be expected. Slight risk for tornadoes through tonight.
Tri-County Electric advised that with the higher severity of impact on their service area on the coast, response in Madison County may be impacted. Use caution with downed power lines as they may be hot even without indication.
