James (Jim) Chaplain Biggs born September 29, 1940 passed away February 5, 2013. He currently resided in Madison. He was born in Indianapolis, Ind., to Robert and Betty Sheppard. At age 17 he joined the United Stated Navy where he serve as chief of the engine room for 22 ½ years. He completed 6 tours in Vietnam. In 1985 he moved to Callahan, Florida until August of 2000 where he resided to Madison Fl. He is preceded in death by his parents. Robert and Betty Sheppard.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Debra L. Biggs; two sons, Jimmy Biggs (Missy) and Rusty Biggs of Ocala.; five daughters, Cathy Russo (Tim), of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Christine Gallamore (Todd of Copan, Okla., Suzi Crichton (Tony) of Bryceville, FL, Courtney Higginbotham (Bryon Hughes) and Tiffany Higginbotham (Steven Eberhardt) of Madison; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Steve Sheppard, of Terre Haute, Ind.; and a sister, Wayann Noel, of Terre Haute, Inc.
Services were held Saturday, February 8, 2013 at 4 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church Located at 1997 NE Colin Kelly Hwy in Madison, FL 32340.
