James L. “Skippy” Byington Passes Away

James L.”Skippy”Byington, 64, of Wills Point, Texas died November 6, 2011 in the Dallas, Texas VA Hospital.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville/The family will receive friends at T.J. Beggs & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Madison on Thursday from 6-9 p.m.

He was a native of Live Oak, moving to Madison County in 1952. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Texas, he lived there until the time of his death.

He is survived by four sons, Darren Byington of Mansfield, Texas, Andy Byington of Clyde, Texas, Clayton Byington of New Port News, Va,. and Cameron Byington of Iraq; three brothers, Robert E. Byington of Valdosta, Ga,. and Roger K. Byington and Barney Byington, Jr. of Greenville; one sister, Bootsie Cone of Greenville; and six grandchildren.

Mark Gregory Quick Passes Away At Age 49

Mark Gregory Quick, age 49, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011, in Madison.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home.

He was born September 24, 1962 to Sue G. Quick and the late Charles E. Quick. He was raised in Madison and worked in Tallahassee for the past 16 years.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Cheryl Quick; one son, Jeremiah Quick; two brothers, Charles E. Quick Jr. (Ann), and William Keith Quick (Camille); one sister, Betsy Blanton (Tony); and 13 nieces and nephews.
