Why would you post this article? I can understand how it may be interesting for the locals, but you should have more tact. You could have left his name out or at least consulted with his family before posting this to the web and publishing it in the paper. His family, no matter what and above all, is in severe pain. Emotional and physical pain over losing someone that means so much to them, no matter what situation he was in. I cannot believe the sheer idiocy of whoever it was that felt it was okay to report this. Under your freedom of speech, you do have this right, but as a caring human being, you should re-evaluate what means more to you: having such a “juicy” story to talk about, and making that extra dollar, or possessing a respectable, human spirit. Shame on you and shame on this paper for smearing him and causing his family more undue pain and stress. I have never been more disgusted.

I agree 100% with you on your comments and all the others that posted letters on voting NO. I have lived in Madison now for 29 years and I have heard of bigger companies trying to come in and suddenly they change their mind and end up in other counties and I have never heard they pulled out because we were a “dry” county. There are a handful of people in this county who own the majority of it and don’t want anyone coming in taking money out of their pockets. I too will be at the poles on the 28th to vote NO.

You are delusional! Open your eyes. Things are slowing down, not speeding up. For you to suggest that these named establishments are going to come to Madison is pure fantasy.
