Madison County's annual Toys for Tots began Nov. 4 and will continue until Dec. 23. Sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, the mission of Toys for Tots is to collect new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season. After collection, the donated toys will be given as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children within the Madison community. Suggestions for toys include bats, balls, gloves, backpacks, wallets, purses, books, radio-controlled cars, trucks, cosmetics, bath gift sets, board games, handheld electronics, skateboards and helmets. Anyone wanting to give to this great cause may drop off their toys at the Madison County Community Bank and Madison County Sheriff’s Office in Madison. Brighten the life of a child in need for the Christmas season and give back. After all, isn't the Christmas season all about spreading joy and getting into the spirit of giving? For more information, contact Tammy Webb at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (850) 973-4151.
