Come on out to the biggest Independence Day celebration inside the City of Madison on Monday, July 4.
The Madison Lions Club has arranged an assortment of vendors, fireworks, live music, delicious food, door prizes and a raffle to all be part of the fun for this family-friendly event.
3 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Vendor set up
5 p.m. – The God and Country Festival is open to the community
6 p.m. – Various local talents will be putting on performances for the audience
8 p.m. – The Madison Lions Club will take center stage as they announce the winner for their Chance To Win raffle, in which two winners will be selected; the first winner will receive a Charboiler 1280 Grill and Smoker combination that was donated by Ace Hardware and the second winner will receive an Amazon Kindle Fire, donated by Madison Realty Group. Winners do not need be present in order to win. Those interested in buying tickets may do so at the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, located at 316 SW Pinckney St., in Madison.
8:15 p.m. – The event’s headliner performers, Julian Drive, will crank up the music and keep the mood pumping for the rest of the evening. Julian Drive is an American contemporary and Christian alternative rock band from Athens, Ga.
9:15 p.m. – Fireworks will begin! What is an Independence Day celebration without a firework display to end the evening? The Madison Lions Club has quite the show lined up for the participants of the God and Country Festival.
With food, fun and fireworks that will be enjoyed by all ages, the 2016 God and Country Festival is not one that the individuals and families of Madison County will want to miss!

The 4th of July is known for sparklers, cookouts with family and friends and trips to the beach or river, but perhaps the most anticipated and exciting part of the holiday are the colorful fireworks that light up the sky when the sun goes down!
The Spirit of Greenville is sponsoring a delightful fireworks show that will take place over the pond at Haffye Hayes Park for all to enjoy on Monday, July 4. The show will begin after dark between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Bring the whole family and celebrate this patriotic day in Greenville!
